A hall bath needs the same six trades as a primary bath, in a third of the space
A hall bath and a primary bath need the same rough-in, the same waterproofing, the same glass, the same tile setter and the same inspections. The primary just has three times the floor to spread it over. That’s why a small bathroom costs nearly as much as a big one, and costs more per square foot.

Everyone in the house shares it, so somebody is always waiting outside the door. The tub and the curtain were there before you bought the house. It’s the most-used room you own and the last one anybody offers to fix.
It’s usually the last bathroom anyone remodels. We’ll remodel it on its own.

Hall, guest, and powder baths each need different work
Hall
A tub or tub-and-shower combo and one vanity
The one off the hallway, used by the kids and by anyone who visits. It takes the most traffic in the house and gets the least attention, and it’s usually the only full bath besides yours.
Guest
A walk-in shower or tub and one vanity
The bathroom your guests use when they stay over, so it’s the one visitors see up close.
Powder
A sink and a toilet, with no tub, shower, or waterproofing
No bathing fixture means no shower pan and no glass, so it skips the two most expensive trades. It’s the one bath that lands near the bottom of the range, and the fastest room in the house to change completely.
Only one full bath
If it’s your only full bath, we work in phases so you can still use it
Plenty of Fort Worth houses have exactly one full bath, and that is the reason most of these rooms never get done. The work doesn’t have to run as one unbroken month. We work in stages so you can use the bathroom between them, and we tell you up front which days it is out of service.

What it costs
$20,000 to $55,000
A hall, guest or kids’ bath taken down to the studs and rebuilt. One to two months, start to finish.
That range is lower than a primary bath’s, but it costs more per square foot, for the reason in the drawing above: you’re paying for six trades, not for floor space.
How we price it
Cost-plus, to your scope and your selections. We walk the room, draw it, and price what is actually there — so the number you get is one you can plan around instead of one that moves after demo.
Get a price for your bathroomWhether the plumbing moves
Leaving the tub, toilet and sink where they are is one price. Moving a drain means cutting into the floor structure, and it is usually the difference between the two ends of this range.
Whether the tub becomes a shower
Trading a tub-and-shower combo for a full walk-in means new waterproofing, new glass, and often a new drain location.
Whether it is the only full bath
When it is, we work in phases so you are not without the bathroom for a month. Phasing costs more than doing it in one run, and it is usually worth it.
Finish level
This is the part you control most. Stock vanity and porcelain against custom millwork, stone and frameless glass is most of the spread once the plan is settled.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Fort Worth?
A hall, guest or kids’ bath taken down to the studs and rebuilt runs $20,000 to $55,000. Where you land inside that depends mostly on whether the plumbing moves and how far, then on finishes.
Why does a small bathroom cost almost as much as a big one?
Because a small bathroom still needs all the same work. A hall bath needs the same rough-in, waterproofing, glass, tile, electrical and ventilation a primary bath needs — six trades in forty-two square feet instead of a hundred and twenty-six. Per square foot the little room is the expensive one, which is the opposite of how the rest of the house prices.
It is the only full bathroom we have. Can we still do it?
Yes. We plan the schedule around it. We do the work in phases so you can use the room between stages instead of losing it for a month, and we tell you up front which days it is genuinely out of service.
Do you do powder rooms and half baths?
Yes, and they are the quickest thing we do — usually weeks rather than months, and the one bath that can land near $20,000 rather than the top of the range.
How long does a secondary bath take?
One to two months for most of them. A powder room is quicker; a room where the plumbing moves and the tile is set to a pattern is the long end.
Can you fit a shower where there is only a tub?
Usually, and it is one of the most common things we are asked for in a hall bath. Whether it is a swap or a reframe depends on what the wall behind the tub is doing, which we can tell you early because we draft it in-house.
Can you do two bathrooms at once?
Often the smart move. Two baths in one trip share the demo, the inspections and the tile order, so the schedule and the disruption are shorter than doing them a year apart.
Do you only do this as part of a bigger remodel?
No. We are a whole-home remodeler, and a single secondary bath is a job we are glad to take on its own.
