6th Ave Homes: 4.7 stars across 91 Google reviews (September 2026).
“6th Ave is an exceptional company. They truly went above and beyond to help us first time homeowners. We were completely new to this process and relied on google reviews and their website to decide who to go with. We are so grateful we found them and for the opportunity to work with them. They were responsive, organized, thoughtful, and professional.”
“From sitting down with us in advance to walk through the process to being very timely and responsive with emails and phone calls throughout, our guide was on top of every detail. 6th Ave Homes could not have a better representative of how they want to show up in support of their clients.”
“6th Ave Homes is amazing! Their realtors are top notch and their construction team was amazing. They helped us find our dream home and then make it amazing.”
Before you pick one
Zillow’s directory lists more than 15,000 real estate agents in Fort Worth. You need one. Pick the wrong one and you find out at the worst time: when an offer is due, or an inspection deadline is two days out. These six checks sort them, and you can run every one on our agents too.
Search the agent’s name on the Texas Real Estate Commission’s License Holder Search. It shows the license type, whether it’s active, and when it expires. Open the name and it shows the brokerage that sponsors them. It takes a minute.
Fort Worth Magazine builds its Top Realtors list from MLS and broker-reported sales data. If an agent tells you they’re a top producer, check that list and its past years.
Ask for the homes they’ve helped people buy or sell in your part of town, and what those homes sold for. An agent who works your area can tell you what a house there is worth and why.
Ask who you’ll actually talk to after you sign. The person you hired is the person you reach.
Ask to see the buyer agreement before your first showing, and read what it says about pay. Here’s what the agreement says.
Read what their clients wrote. Then sit down with them before you sign anything. You’ll know in the first meeting whether you want this person on your side.
Where our agents work
Our agents help people buy and sell homes all over Fort Worth’s west side, including these three ZIP codes.
Beyond the west side, our agents work the Near Southside, Tarrant County and the Mid-Cities, Mansfield, where our second office is, and Parker County out to Weatherford.
The team behind your agent
Buying a house that needs work? Because our agents work alongside our designers and builders, you can find out what a house would cost to change before you make an offer.
Selling? Our design team can tell you what to fix, what to leave, and what moves your number before you list. The work itself is done by our design and construction teams, and only when you want it.
Our construction company: Best Home Builder & Remodeler, Fort Worth Magazine, four years running.
Three steps
Meet Up.
Sit down with an agent. Tell them what you’re buying or selling, where, and by when.
Team Up.
Your agent builds the plan with you: the price, the search or the listing, and the dates that matter.
Glasses Up.
You close, and you get the keys or the check. Pour something good. You earned it.
Questions people ask
Fort Worth Magazine’s Top Realtors list is the closest thing to one: the magazine picks the agents from their sales numbers. Start there. Then judge any agent the way you’d judge anyone you’re trusting with this much money: an active license, sales in your part of town, reviews from real clients, and how they treat you in the first meeting.
Use the Texas Real Estate Commission’s License Holder Search at trec.texas.gov. Type the agent’s name, last name first, or their license number. The result shows the license type (sales agent or broker), whether the license is active, and when it expires. Open the name to see the sponsoring broker, the brokerage the agent works under. Every agent in Texas has to be licensed by TREC, so if a name doesn’t come up, ask why.
A real estate agent is anyone licensed to help people buy and sell homes and land. In the words of the National Association of REALTORS®, the term REALTOR® “identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.” So every REALTOR® is an agent, but not every agent is a REALTOR®. Most people use the two words the same way, and that’s fine.
Both, as separate teams under one company: a real estate brokerage, an interior design studio with an in-house drafting team, a construction company, and a pool and outdoor team.
Yes, and you should. Talk to two or three. Look each one up on TREC’s License Holder Search first, then ask them the same questions: what they’ve sold in your ZIP code, how they’d price your home or what they’d look for in your next one, and who you’ll talk to after you sign. Interviewing costs you nothing. The agreement comes later, with the one you pick.
Yes. Find them in the list above and open their profile to email them directly, or call or text (817) 631-9803 and ask for them by name.
The agent matters more than the size of the brokerage. Start with the agent: their license, the homes they’ve sold where you’re buying or selling, and who answers when you call. Then ask what the brokerage puts behind them. At 6th Ave Homes, that’s our designers and builders, when you want them.
The right agent gets the price right the first time and catches the deadline you didn’t know about. Tell us what you’re buying or selling. You’ll hear back, usually same day.
